The Rare 1935 Asahi News Film. Aikido was created by Morihei Ueshiba (植芝盛平Ueshiba Morihei, 14 December 1883--26 April 1969), referred to by some aikido practitioners as Ōsensei ("Great Teacher"). Ueshiba envisioned aikido not only as the synthesis of his martial training, but also an expression of his personal philosophy of universal peace and reconciliation. Morihei Ueshiba (Aikido's founder) performing some "Ki" stuffs, or so. It appears like he litteraly blows his students away, and take control over them at distance, sometimes with, and sometimes without touchin 'em. For those who know Quero and his version of wa-jutsu, or other to-ate, it sounds similar. In my advice, it's all about hypno tricks, mental suggestion, or illusionism, but people says that it's some "Ki" attacks, things similar to an occult force, you know. Everyone has his own advice about it, i got mine, you'll get yours.

In the dojo of the Aikido Foundation in Shinjuku founder Morihei Ueshiba demonstrated aikido for me. His son Kisshomaru assisted training the aikidoka, aided by his son Moriteru, the present doshu . Also assisting is Robert Nadeau Shihan.
