KTX-II passing at 300 km/h. Some claims that KTX-2 has record test speed of 420km/h, but I was unable to verify that. other source claims the record to be 384km/h. KTX-2 is not TGV derived. It uses different motor, different power control, different bogie, different pantograph, different body etc.

Korea Train eXpress (KTX) is South Korea's high-speed rail system, operated by Korail. Construction began on the first section of the high-speed line from Seoul to Busan in 1992. The project was later split into two phases and combined with conventional line upgrades, adding a second route from Seoul to Mokpo. The system's technology is largely based on the French TGV/LGV system, but domestic development based on transferred technology began early.[1] The first phase of the project was completed and KTX services were launched on April 1, 2004. After missing forecasts and running deficits in the first year, KTX increased ridership and market share, transporting over 100000 passengers daily and making a profit for Korail since 2007. The second phase of the Seoul--Busan line entered service on November 1, 2010, with two sections crossing urban areas to be completed by 2014. Construction of a second high-speed line to Mokpo began in December 2009, and is to open in 2014. Other new lines and upgraded conventional lines are in various stages of planning or construction. Top speed for trains in regular service is currently 305 km/h (190 mph), though the infrastructure is designed for 350 km/h (217 mph). The initial rolling stock, designated KTX-I, was based on Alstom's TGV Réseau, and was partly built in Korea within the framework of a technology transfer.[1] The domestically developed HSR-350x prototype, which achieved the South Korean rail speed record of 352.4 km/h (219.0 mph ...

Enjoy it now in full HD. Thanks YouTube! Identity. In this short clip I'm trying to explore the identities of simpler and common objects and transformations that affect them with the passing of time. Continuing on the subject of transformations I have tried in this short video to visualize the most simple of them all: the identity transform. Mathematically, this transformation does not alter its participating operand(s). It is instantaneous. Visually, I considered the transformations to take time and even the identity transform modifies the input it receives. White becomes white in a simple, intriguing visual process and so on. look outside the window. Green hills, stations, train attendant, box houses etc. Korean box houses really surprise me. If you live inside one of them, please invite me for visit! Trains are very comfortable. Tickets can be bought in vending machine at the station. It's an easy process where prices and departure times are displayed on touch screen. Trains are comfortable. All information about the stops and etc. on the screen above.

Korea has French TGV trains as its' KTX bullet train service. The Koreans bought these from France just a couple years ago. I am watching a KTX train stop and as soon as I follow the tail end, another train on the track 2 feet from me races by me at high speed, almost knocking me off my feet.

I shot this video with my still relatively new Canon IXUS 110IS digital camera in the first-class car (#3) I was sitting in on the 16:05 KTX bullet train from Daegu to Seoul, South Korea on Saturday, July 11, 2009. Though you can't see the TV screens I occasionally pan over to, I did so at those moments when the info on those screens indicated we were going top-speed, or 300 km/h (about 186 mph). I'd taken the KTX many times before, but until that day, I'd never done so in first-class...or with a new camera!
